There are no strict rules about how many times your keyword should appear on your blog, although as a guideline, if you repeat the key words every 100 words which would provide you a’keyword density’ of 1%. Generally, a keyword density of between 1-5% is acceptable. Anything more than 7% would appear to be too keyword rich and over optimised.
Your blog is your own personal tool and you may therefore write about anything. However, the most successful blogs do have some sort of theme and a type of writing voice. Writing about anything and swapping between humour and seriousness can really keep you from having any traffic.
I find it much easier to locate my key word phrase, write my post then return and tweak it for SEO than to write online blog just thinking of SEO but everyone is different.
